RIIKKA SORMUNEN HAS WON IMAGE MAGAZINE’S ILLUSTRATION COMPETITION
Finnish magazine “Image” organized a competition for it’s readers to vote for the best illustration from 10 nominees. The winner was announced this week: we are so happy to tell that Riikka Sormunen’s beautiful illustration won the competition with one fifth of all votes! Well done Riikka!

The artist Chen Shu Fen (陈淑芬) is best known for her paintings of beautiful women and handsome men. She has worked on a project in which she painted 56 Chinese ethnic groups from China. Each staying true to there original ethnic clothing.

Last year, with the creation of a truly terrifying portrait of Dr. Zoidberg, CG artist Jared Krichevsky began working on a series of realistic renderings of all our favourite Futurama characters. Here you see the irresistibly cute Nibbler (complete with a steaming ball of fresh dark matter) and the long-suffering Kif Kroker, who looks like he’s about to sigh for the umpteenth time.
